
Ophthalmologist
Dr. John Park started Edison Ophthalmology Associates, LLC in 2004 and is the lead surgeon on staff. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and member of New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr Park has performed thousands of surgical procedures including cataract extraction, advanced multifocal implants, astigmatic intraocular implants, laser vision correction, corneal transplant (PKP and DSAEK) and glaucoma surgeries, yielding unparalleled surgical outcomes.
Dr. Park studied Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics at Yale University before starting medical school training at UMDNJ- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. He then completed ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent Catholic Medical Center- Brooklyn and Queens, where he served as Chief Resident and helped teach residents to manage complex cases. After the completion of residency training, Dr Park pursued further fellowship training in Anterior Segment/Cornea/Refractive Surgery at the prestigious Tulane University Hospital and Clinic in New Orleans, LA.

Ophthalmologist
Dr. Press graduated in 1969 with a B.A. from Rutgers College with Honors and Distinction in Bacteriology. He was a Henry Rutgers Scholar and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the College of Medicine of NJ, New Jersey Medical School (now Rutgers Medical School) graduating in 1973.
He completed his Ophthalmology training at the Associated Eye Residencies of NJ in 1977; this included training at Newark Eye and Ear, United Hospitals, Martland Medical Center, East Orange VA and Jersey City Medical Center. He attended Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Eye and Ear’s Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology in Waterville, ME and the prestigious AFIP course in Ophthalmic Pathology.
Since that time, he has been practicing General Ophthalmology in Edison, NJ with interests in Glaucoma, Laser Surgery, Cataract Surgery and General Ophthalmic Plastics. Dr. Press is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology. He is one of the founding members of Edison Eye Group.
Currently he is on the staff of JFK Medical Center. In January 2016 Edison Eye Group joined with Edison Ophthalmology Associates LLC. Dr. Press is continuing to practice General Ophthalmology as a senior member of our staff.

Ophthalmologist
Dr. Barbara Schwartz is a Board Certified fellow of the Am. Academy of Ophthalmology with over 20 years of experience. She is an attending physician at JFK Medical Ctr.
After graduating with Highest Academic Honors, earning the Award for Excellence in Economics and entry into the honor society Phi Beta Kappa at SUNY Binghamton, Dr. Schwartz was awarded a four year merit scholarship at Albert Einstein College Of Medicine. There, she obtained her medical degree with Distinction In Research In Ophthalmology, and was selected for the Am. Medical Woman’s Association Janet Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation as well as entry in the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She did her residency in ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Ctr. where she served as Chief Ophthalmology Resident. She then did fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease & Refractive surgery at LSU Eye Ctr., where she worked with Dr. Herbert Kaufman, a renowned cornea specialist.
Dr. Schwartz published several articles, presented at major ophthalmology meetings and co-authored a book chapter in a refractive surgery textbook. Most of her research has focussed on the clinical effects of excimer laser refractive surgery.
Dr. Schwartz is known for her thorough examinations and personable bedside manner. She is passionate about her work as an ophthalmologist and consistently aims to surpass her patients’ expectations. Ophthalmologist
Dr. Roopinder Grewal is a Board Certified ophthalmic surgeon who is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, member of the American Glaucoma Society and member of the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology. She is an attending physician at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
Dr. Grewal earned her B.A. degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and received her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After completing her internship at Georgetown University, she completed her ophthalmology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she served as Chief Resident. She then pursued further fellowship training in Glaucoma at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Grewal founded Somerset Ophthalmology Associates in 2006 and merged her practice with Edison Ophthalmology in 2024.
Dr. Grewal has been in practice for more than 25 years. She provides personalized care and is known for her thorough examinations and caring nature, taking time to help patients understand their conditions and answer their questions. Over the years, Dr. Grewal has built strong relationships with her patients, feels privileged to continue to care for them and looks forward to welcoming new patients.

Optometrist
Dr. Lee received her undergraduate degree from Villanova University and completed her optometry degree at the SUNY College of Optometry. She went on to complete a residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital. She received her FAAO in 2017.
Dr. Lee is trained in managing dry eye, glaucoma, pre and post-operative care of LASIK and cataract surgeries, contact lenses, and the medical management of other ocular diseases.
She is also trained in myopia control management, including medication management, soft lenses, glasses, and orthokeratology.
Prior to joining Edison Ophthalmology, Dr. Lee has worked in the ophthalmology departments for Northwell Health System, Advantage Care Physicians, and New York Presbyterian Columbia University.
Since becoming a part of EOA in 2023, she has been providing comprehensive eye care at both the Edison and Somerset offices in her home state. Dr. Lee’s patient centered approach emphasizes building strong relationships while providing friendly and compassionate treatment tailored to each individual’s needs.
In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys hiking and spending quality time with her husband and two children.
